Migrant Science
'Migrant Science' is an initiative aimed at providing both a virtual and real meeting space where stories of immigration and science can be told and shared.

Since the 1990s, the migratory phenomenon in Italy has experienced continuous growth, and today it has assumed dimensions comparable to those of states with a longer tradition of immigration, placing the Italian experience in line with countries such as France, Great Britain or Germany.
Today, foreign nationals present throughout the country are about 9% of the peninsula's resident population. Who are they? What do they do? Why did they choose Italy and what is the socio-economic impact they have created?
The 'Migrant Science' initiative aims to make their stories known, through tales of life and science whose protagonists are those who have emigrated from their countries of origin, bringing with them a wealth of cultural and scientific knowledge that is often little known or unexpressed. The project is mainly addressed to the community of scientists, with the aim of raising awareness and highlighting the impact and value of immigrants' cultural and scientific heritage on our territory.
We want to contribute to the debate on the importance of integration for social progress, using the universal language of science and the value of scientific thinking to convey the message.
The Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences is one of the main supporters of the project.
